JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Design and implement network solutions and improve the efficiency of current networks
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP
  • Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation
  • Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Arrange scheduled upgrades
  • Investigate faults in the network
  • Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases
  • Report network status to key stakeholders
  • Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Conduct data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
  • Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
  • Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policies
  • Configure and maintain VPNs and remote access solutions
